Welcome in Jesus' name!

Who are we?
We are a Church of England church and one half of the parish of St John with St James, West Ealing. St James started life in 1889 with our present building being built in 1904. There was a thriving congregation up to the 1960's but with the general decline in churchgoing over the past two decades, St James closed down in 1984. In 1990 St John's Church decided to send over a small group to re-open the church. Having been derelict and infested with pigeons, it took an enormous amount of work to reclaim the building to its present functional state.

The reclamation of the building has continued - we have been making St James a lighter, brighter place to worship in. We also have some original hanging sculptures depicting the stages of creation. We have built a new hall kitchen and toilet blocks and the hall has been renovated. But the building is only part of who we are.

Who are we?

You will find us to be an informal, friendly church, both young and old, families and single people alike, and a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds.

At St James we are also part of the whole body of Christ.

We believe that God is our Father in heaven
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and our Saviour
We believe that the Holy Spirit is our Enabler and Comforter

What can we offer?
We can offer you Faith, Hope and Love.
